John
Terry left the match against Newcastle with a muscular injury, leaving
the Blues seriously damaged in the back after Kurt Zouma's injury last
week.
The 35-year-old center back limped off the pitch during the first half of the game against the Magpies, with further evaluations revealing a hamstring problem and a ligament injury, according to the team's website.
Terry's injury comes just when the Blues seemed to be finding their feet, carrying an unbeaten streak since Guus Hiddink took over the club's managerial duties.
On the other hand, Brazilian midfielder Oscar made it in time to travel with the team to France, despite missing Saturday's clash which saw the Blues destroy Newcastle 5-1.
Center back Kurt Zouma and midfielder Nemanja Matic will be missing this game as well. The French defender has been ruled out for the season after coming down with a knee injury against Manchester United, while Nemanja Matic has to serve a one match ban.
