The French striker admitted the South American ace had a direct influence on why he chose to pursue a career in football.
"When I was younger, the way the Brazilian Ronaldo played had an influence on me. I watch videos of him, and try to do what he does, but it's not easy. It's impossible to pull off the same moves as he did. For me he's the best striker and the best player of all-time," Benzema stated.
The 28-year-old has scored 19 goals in La Liga this season.
The French player, currently ranked 10th in Real Madrid's all-time scoring list, went on and praised his current manager, Zinedine Zidane. Benzema claims that his compatriot has to be credited for Real Madrid's current form, since every player has made the most out of his advice.
"He was a top player and now he's a good coach. He offers the team a lot, he gives us confidence and his ideas on how to play, and that's all positive for us. I'm learning a lot from him every day. And it's not just me. That goes for the whole team, because he knows a lot about the game," the striker added.
