The Swedish striker has fond memories from his time under Mourinho, as the two have developed a good relationship both on and off the pitch.
"Everybody will miss Mourinho a little bit. I think he will get a club soon. Coaches do have a tough life. If a team plays badly, it is the coach who gets sacked. Am I surprised with the sacking? I don't know. Everything depends on the results and that is the worst part of football," the player stated in an interview with The Times of India.
Mourinho won the 2008-2009 Serie A title with Inter Milan, and Ibrahimovic was one of his key players.
The 34-year-old striker has never been able to lift the Champions League trophy, and even though he knows it will be a tough task to accomplish, the team's performances in the recent past give him some hope.
"It is important for everybody from players to coaches to win every title. The objective of playing is very important. Similarly Champions League has been a long-term project. The progress that PSG has made in the last 3-4 years is amazing," Ibrahimovic added.
